Palmer has engineers and draftsmen on staff to help design and document your next project, and we are accustomed to partnering with wide variations of supporting documentation. Palmer’s design capabilities including ASME Pressure Vessels and Process Piping. We have two PE’s on staff to help design your critical project.

We Can Build On Your Designs

On one end of the spectrum, Palmer might receive an engineering drawing with all relevant dimensions and specs. Depending on your needs, Palmer can follow your engineering drawing exactly as presented, or (at your request).

We will create a CAD drawing and allow you to make revisions and changes based on your needs and/or Palmer’s recommendations to improve performance or reduce cost.

We Can Create New Designs
From Scratch

At the other end of the spectrum, Palmer might receive only your verbal description, or a hand-drawn rough sketch, sometimes accompanied by the broken or damaged original and your request to “build me another one”.

Again depending on your needs, Palmer can build you “another one”, while offering you suggestions to improve performance or reduce cost.

Finite Element Analysis

Palmer uses FEA to design and validate fittings and vessels that fall outside the guidelines of rule-based codes like VIII-1 or B31.3.

In addition to pressure equipment, we also provide FEA of lifting beams, frames, etc. We have the knowledge and experience to do your job correctly.
